Fawcett - who three years waged a battle against anal cancer - died shortly before 9:30 pm in Santa Monica, California hospital, said her spokesman, Paul Bloh.
In the Texas-born actress chronicled her valiant struggle to survive two hours in the dock. Her long love, actor Ryan O'Neal, was her bed with Fawcett to 91-year-old father, Ryan's 24 year old son, friend Alana Stewart, hairdresser Mela Murphy and Dr. Lawrence Piro.
"After a long and brave battle with cancer, our love Farrah passed," O'Neal said in a statement. Although it is extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we are comfortable in sharing the beautiful times that we farrah over year and knowing that you enjoy life so many people around the world."
